Myself, Riya Pious. I have completed my Graduation and Post Graduation In Economics from Stella Maris College, Chennai. My final year dissertation is entitled " A Study on the Outcomes and Challenges of International Education''. I also worked as an Intern at Rubber Research Institute of India (RRII, Kottayam) and Centre for Development Studies (CDS, Trivandrum). I do have some experience in teaching and tutoring students while I was studying. I was working as a part time tutor for students of 8th to 12th standard and was able to establish a very good working relationship with my students. I take a friendly approach to teaching, believing that my students are simply equals who are yet to gain the knowledge I can impart to them. I believe this approach helps to break the traditional "them" and "us" type hindrances between students and teachers. I also feel that the students gain more as a result of using this approach, not to mention the satisfaction that the teacher can also gain. I have confidence that I can maintain my standard of professionalism and can make a significant contribution from my side. I am willing to teach and would like to share my views and my experiences with fellow students and help them to understand it better.
